Made To Glorify

We are two moms who walk similar journeys of caring for our families, homes and neighbors, and seeking God’s wisdom in our roles. Like other seekers, believers and followers, we share a deep love of Christ and a desire to grow closer to Him. One of our favorite ways this growth takes place is by participating in organized Bible studies.

In one of our studies we were asked to wear a blue cord tied on our wrists for the study’s duration (to represent the command God made to Moses in Numbers 15:38) as well as learn a 5-statement pledge of faith. To help us and others remember the pledge, we added letter beads to spell out FAITH on the blue cord. Each letter represented one statement from the pledge. Even though it was nothing more than a string through a handful of beads, the experience of wearing God’s word every day, all day was exciting! It felt good! When others asked about the cord, we realized that jewelry can start conversations, and we always enjoyed the dialogue it inspired.

God whispered, and we responded by launching Made to Glorify.

With a vision to capture some of the Bible’s most beloved scripture and stories, from the Jordan River crossing, to the Armor of God and the poetry of the Psalms, our plan is to follow God’s leading in designing each piece. We hope to activate the Great Commission one believer at a time.

Just like it felt great for us to wear the blue cords, it is our prayer that wearing jewelry built around scripture energizes you from the inside. We hope it encourages you to express your Christian faith, by the power of the Holy Spirit within. That’s when you know you’re doing what you’re made to do.
